***hot job*** are you an experienced energy & business analyst, with a strong focus on financial & market data analysis, who needs a new challenge or are you now looking to take the next step in your career? our client, a hugely successful manufacturing client in co limerick would love to talk to you about an exciting new job! the job : as a business analyst, your main focus will be on performing in-depth business analysis on the company’s energy services division. you will take ownership of complex energy trades & hedging strategies, work very closely with the financial/accounting function as well as assisting with the efficient energy cost management & reporting functions. in addition to the above, you’ll support budgeting & cost forecasting, develop a detailed understating of the single electricity market (sem), prototype & develop new reporting/analytical tools, undertake feasibility studies for new energy sources & act as a key resource for the wider business analysis team in their on-going efficiency & change projects across the plant. your skills/experience that we need : • 3rd level degree/qualification in a relevant field – eg economics, mathematics, engineering, accounting, etc. • further qualifications such as a project management qualification or formal accounting qualification would be excellent to have. • previous experience or knowledge of electricity or commodity trading & contracts would be a great advantage. • exceptional analytical skills & ability to understand & resolve complex problems. • excellent ability to work in a team based environment with colleagues & specialists from very different business units. • proven previous experience in a business analyst role is essential, ideally from a large scale manufacturing environment. the offer : if successful in interviews, you will start on an initial 12 month contract as a self-employed contractor on an hourly rate of €28-€32. you’ll have excellent career growth potential & be exposed to challenges & opportunities that are not on offer elsewhere. if you’re interested in applying or want to know more about this job 1st, contact thomas hogan in cpl limerick on 061221701 or email your cv tothomas.hogan@cpl.ie. for a full list of our open jobs, have a look atwww.cpl.ie. this job originally appeared on recruitireland.com.
