Vacancy Overview. Our Client based in Tralee, Co. Kerry has a requirement for a System Engineer (Linux / Unix) as a result of continued growth. Working as part of their global team you will be responsible for the servers and various support tools which underpin the infrastructure of the business. In this role you will have the opportunity to work on the newest technologies in the industry. Responsibilities of the Systems Engineer. Operating system engineering (Linux / UNIX. Develop automation for system deployment, application specific OS tuning and KTLO tasks (BMC BladeLogic, scripting in bash, ksh, python & nsh. Server monitoring and capacity planning. Produce and maintain internal knowledgebase articles. Service application and infrastructure requests. Provide expertise during critical issue response. Engineer Profile. 3 - 5+ years experience in a similar role. Solid understanding of Linux/Unix Operating Systems.
