FEXCO Group Finance is currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant. This role is being offered on a 12 month fixed term contract and is based in Killorglin, Co Kerry. The closing date for receipt of applications is Monday the 13th November. Job Purpose: Within the Retail Foreign Exchange Division, this is a maternity cover position requiring a candidate with strong analytical and communication skills. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills and possess the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing needs in a rapidly growing business. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of accurate monthly accounts information at both a business unit and divisional level in accordance with FEXCO Group policy as well as assisting with the successful completion of the annual audit. Main Responsibilities: Preparation of monthly management accounts in line with FEXCO Group deadlines. Production of financial reports for both UK & Irish business units and encompassing financial & KPI data. Investigating variances & analysing trends. Assist in the annual preparation of UK Statutory accounts and corporation tax. Review expenditure on an on-going basis and providing commentary on same. Preparation of nominal ledger reconciliations and action any outstanding issues and Intercompany settlements. Maintain Intercompany and transfer pricing agreements and processes. Prepare and submit Quarterly UK Group VAT returns. Preparation of annual and 3 year strategic plans in line with the business manager and group. Produce relevant reports to enable strategic decisions be taken by management. Undertake and assist on other ad hoc projects as and when required. Ensure strict compliance with internal controls and liaise with Auditors/legal/tax advisors where applicable. Continuous business process improvement. Other financial ad hoc tasks from time to time. Qualifications/Experience Required: Professional Accounting Qualification. Previous experience in a similar role with good working knowledge of accounting information. Competencies Required: A strong communicator with excellent Interpersonal skills along with being a good team player. Demonstrate an ability to manage tasks and changing priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy. Demonstrate strong analytical skills to perform financial analysis. Capable of working autonomously and make decisions effectively. Strong systems knowledge including Microsoft Excel and Oracle experience an advantage. FEXCO is an equal opportunitites employer.
