What you need to know. You will work as a Retail Manager for a global leading charity organisation, with stores located in numerous locations across Ireland and Northern Ireland. This is a temporary position for approx. 4 weeks. This role can be based in Cork or Tralee. Immediate start is required and competitive salary on offer. Your new job. Key duties & responsibilities: Maximise sales from retail activities. Assist with the overall financial goals by preparing and monitoring income and expenditure targets. Recruitment and management of volunteer staff and responsible for ensuring that there is adequate cover each week to meet the demands of the business. Responsible for training and coaching junior staff on effective retail practices. Ensure the shop is opened promptly each day and closed securely. The ideal candidate will be creative in terms of window displays and ensure that window displays are clean and changed on a regular basis. Fully responsible for all donations to the store and for ensuring that they are presented in the best possible way for customers. Maintaining stock levels and ensuring an appropriate level of stock at all times. Ensure that cash handling procedures are adhered to and end of day cash counts are carried out correctly. Act as a brand ambassador for the organisation, and ensure the entire team act in accordance with the charity’s values and beliefs. What are we looking for? Previous experience in a similar role is essential – Fashion Retail. Proven track record managing staff and motivating others. Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and polite manner. Good time management skills. Analytical thinker with good decision making skills. Flexible to ensure that all sick days, holiday days etc are covered. Excellent communications skills and phone manner. Excellent planning and organisation skills. Self-motivated and results driven.
