An amazing opportunity has arisen for an Automotive Software Engineer within a growing multinational organisation based in Kerry. The successful individual will develop technologies to improve the efficiency and performance in vehicles. This role involves being a key contributor within a team developing the software for heater control modules and reports into the Software Architect. The Role: Perform software requirements analysis, design, coding, test plan creation, and testing for vehicle features. Responsible for the development of detailed design of software components in accordance with software requirement specification (SRS) and a SPICE process. Version management of software components. Responsible for performing reviews and inspections for requirements, design documents, Simulink Models, C/C , assembly code and test plans. Responsible for the design and implementation of automatized software modules tests SIL and HIL testing. The Person: Degree qualified in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent. A minimum of 2 years embedded C/C software coding. Proficient with development tools such as version management, C=code editors, compiler/linker, debugger. Knowledge of development environments (MATLAB, Simulink, UML, C ) An understanding of communication protocols (i.e. CAN, LIN etc.) Passionate about testing and developing test strategies.
